Life and tribology
Biotribology is defined as “all aspects of tribology concerned with biological systems” and it covers a broad range of research topics associated with our everyday life, from friction and wear of natural and artificial joints to tribological effects of hair conditioners and skin-care products. This would be one of the most exciting research areas in the tribology field.
This symposium entitled "Life and tribology" aims to provide an opportunity to discuss a wide range of topics associated with biotribology in depth. Topics includes synovial joints, orthopedic implants, dental tribology, skin tribology, tactile perception, soft matters, cosmetics, personal care, biomimetics, and so on.
