Tribo-emissions during tribological processes
Many kinds of emissions such as electrons, lights, acoustics, molecules and wear particles, take place from the interface during tribological processes. These emissions can be collectively called tribo-emissions. Although all the tribo-emissions are essential for lubrication and wear, the interrelationships among these have not been well understood. Therefore, this symposium will be devoted to discuss as many tribo-emissions and the interactions among them as possible. Presentations on the emissions of energy (lights and acoustics) and the emissions of particles ranging from electrons, gases, up to polymers and wear particles are welcome. Particularly, one or two sessions will be organized to focus on the mechanisms of the emission of wear particles.
